AHRR - Australian Historic Records RegisterNational Library of Australia: AHRR is a listing of privately owned, paper-based records of Australian life from settlement to 1988. It includes information on letters, diaries, photographs, recipe books, financial records, posters, sketches, catalogues, registers, minute books and other items.
ABC-CLIO: This is a complete bibliographic reference to the history of the United States and Canada from prehistory to the present. Published since 1964, the database comprises entries for periodicals dating back to 1954. Informit: Provides a listing of significant events in Australian history with emphasis on current happenings. It covers all topics from politics and law to the arts and sport. Source documents for current events are the main daily state and territory papers, mainly 'The Age', 'The Australian' and others.
Australasian Journal of Victorian StudiesAustralasian Victorian Studies Association: Australasian Journal of Victorian Studies is a fully refereed journal of Victorian Studies published by the Australasian Victorian Studies Association, with articles ranging on topics as diverse as archeology, architecture,art, economics, history, landscape gardening, literature, medicine, philosophy, print culture, psychology, science, sociology, spiritualism, town planning and theatre appearing in its pages. The biographical articles are those found in the printed ADB: Volumes 1 to 16 in the continuing series and the Supplementary Volume. Australian Heritage DatabaseDepartment of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts: The Australian Heritage Database contains information about more than 20,000 natural, historic and Indigenous places.The database includes: places in the World Heritage List; National Heritage List; Commonwealth Heritage list;Register of the National Estate; List of Overseas Places of Historic Significance to Australia; and places under consideration, or that may have been considered for, any one of these lists. The information used to describe each place includes its values,legal status, significance, physical condition, history,location and boundaries, physical description, and bibliography Photographs of the place are included (if available) through links to the Australian Heritage Photographic Library Information about many Indigenous places in the Register of the National Estate is not available on the Internet. Search using latitude, longitude and map reference for places in New South Wales, Western Australia, Tasmania, Australian Capital Territory, Northern Territory and External Territories.

Australian National Shipwreck DatabaseCommonwealth, State and Territory Governments: The Australian National Shipwreck Database includes all known shipwrecks in Australian waters and allows users to search for those historic shipwrecks protected by Commonwealth or State/Territory legislation. This information has been collected by each of the State historic shipwreck agencies and the data are subject to ongoing editing and refining. State or Territory agencies can provide the most up-to-date information about a particular shipwreck and also maintain databases for their State or Territory.
Australian & New Zealand American Civil War VeteransPaul Camp, Steve Wolf and Jim Gray: This website is a dedication to the Australian Union and Confederate Veterans of the American Civil War of 1861 to 1865. It has been created from numerous sources, government documents, research libraries and hundreds of pieces of information emailed in, and donated, by individuals from all over Australia and the United States. It includes work by individuals in both the Sons of Confederate Veterans, the Sons of Union Veterans, the American Civil War Round Table of Queensland, the American Civil War Round Table of Australia, the late Roy Parker and others.

Mura Gadi is an online catalogue of the National Library of Australia's manuscript, pictorial and oral history resources relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Though it does not list the many books, periodicals and other publications in the Library relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, these materials can be found using the Library's online catalogue at http://www.nla.gov.au/catalogue/

Material includes information on ships, voyages, shipping companies, shipping and passenger lists and registers, shipwrecks, whaling, shipping arrivals and departures in Australian ports, logs, journals, diaries and voyage narratives, and ships' illustrations.
